What is the 3-Step Rewind Process?
The 3-Step Rewind Process is a calming, structured approach designed to help individuals process and release the emotional distress associated with traumatic birth experiences. This is unlike traditional therapies and ensures you feel safe and in control every step of the way.
My Mission:
Every woman deserves to feel respected, heard, and in control during birth—whether it’s a natural delivery, an emergency, or anything in between.
A healthy baby is wonderful, but a healthy mother, emotionally and mentally, is also essential.
What is the 3-Step Rewind Process?
The 3-Step Rewind Process is a calming, structured approach
designed to help individuals process and release the emotional distress associated with traumatic birth experiences.
This is unlike traditional therapies, and ensures you feel safe and in control every step of the way.
How It Works
The process unfolds over three sessions, each tailored to your unique needs:
Session 1:
Understanding and Exploration
In the first session, we explore how the birth experience has impacted your life.
If you’re not comfortable sharing details, that’s perfectly okay—you can simply share three words that describe how the experience feels to you.
This session also includes guided relaxation and an opportunity to envision how you’d like to feel moving forward.
Session 2:
Guided Relaxation and Reprocessing
Through deep relaxation techniques, we revisit the memory in a safe, secure way.
This step helps your brain to "re-file" the memory, shifting it from a heightened emotional state to one that feels neutral and processed.
Session 3:
Building Confidence and Resilience
The final session focuses on how you’d like to feel and live in the future.
We reflect on the positive changes you’ve experienced and help you build confidence and resilience to embrace life with joy and calm.

Absolutely not. This process doesn’t erase memories or numb emotions. Instead, it helps your brain process traumatic memories in a normal way.
How trauma affects the brain: Traumatic memories often remain "stuck" in the amygdala (the brain’s emotional centre), causing intense emotional reactions.
The 3-Step Rewind Process guides these memories to the hippocampus, where they are stored as neutral events from your past—not as ongoing distress.

The process is flexible and adaptable. Many clients feel relief after just one or two sessions, but every experience is unique.
We’ll work at your pace, ensuring you feel comfortable and supported. If needed, additional sessions can further build on your progress.

No, this is not hypnotherapy, although there are aspects, like the guided relaxation that overlap, however this is nothing like TV and you remain in complete control throughout.
This process uses guided relaxation to help you feel calm and secure. You can pause, adjust, or stop at any time.
Why me?
For over 16 years, I’ve worked alongside women and families through pregnancy, birth and early parenthood.
Through my work — in sling libraries, breastfeeding groups and beyond — I’ve met many women carrying difficult or unresolved birth experiences. Feeling overwhelmed, unheard, or not quite themselves afterwards is far more common than it should be.
I understand this personally.
After my first birth, although it looked straightforward on paper, I was left with emotions I couldn’t shift. Talking helped, but it wasn’t until I experienced a deeper, guided process that things began to settle.
That experience shaped the way I work.
I believe birth is more than a clinical event.
A healthy baby matters — but so does how a woman feels in her body and in herself afterwards.
My role is not to fix or analyse, but to meet you where you are.
Whether through the 3 Step Rewind process or simply having space to gently explore what’s there, I offer calm, grounded support to help things feel more settled, more integrated.
Over the years, I’ve continued to develop my skills through Birthing Awareness work and further training, including NLP for Birth Workers and the 3 Step Rewind process.

The beauty of working in person is that you are already stepping away from your day to day life, giving you chance to feel safe enough to reprocess stuck memories.
You can also add an additional treatment after the sessions.
Online Sessions
The rewind process works just as well as a online sessions & my online calendar may suit your needs better, or have more availability if I am travelling.
