Gloucestershire Maternity Action Group
G-MAG exists to confront the ongoing failures in Gloucestershire’s maternity system.
We are a coalition of women, families, birth workers, and professionals who refuse to accept the dismantling of midwifery-led care or the “temporary” suspension of the homebirth service.
We stand for lawful, ethical, and safe maternity care.
When public bodies fall short of their legal duties, or when scrutiny becomes a tick-box exercise rather than a safeguard, we will challenge it. Women’s human rights are not optional, and they are not suspended because a Trust finds itself under pressure.
Our mission is simple:
To hold every responsible body to account, to demand transparency, and to restore maternity care in Gloucestershire to a standard that honours women, protects babies, and respects the law.
We will use evidence, advocacy,
and—when necessary
—formal & direct actions to ensure women’s choices and safety are no longer negotiable.
